Store Build Terms
These terms apply to the custom Shopify store build advertised at $299 and to the free store mockup. They sit alongside our Terms of Service, Refund Policy and Legal notice. Where this page conflicts with the Refund Policy, which covers pre-built store transfers rather than custom builds, this page governs the custom build.
1. The free mockup
The mockup is free and carries no obligation. We design it from the details you submit, and you decide afterwards whether to proceed. If you do not want to proceed you owe nothing and no payment details are collected to request it.
The mockup is a design proposal, not a working store. We retain ownership of an unpurchased mockup and may reuse its design elements. If you proceed with a build, ownership of the delivered store and its assets passes to you on final payment.
2. What the $299 covers
- Custom store design, built for your brand rather than an unmodified template
- Full Shopify store setup and configuration
- Product and collection upload from the data you provide
- Core pages, navigation and payment configuration
- Mobile-responsive build
- Training on managing your store
3. What the $299 does not cover
- Your Shopify subscription, billed by Shopify directly, from $39/month for Basic
- Paid or premium themes
- Third-party app subscriptions
- Domain registration
- Paid advertising budget, product photography, or copywriting beyond store setup
- Ongoing marketing services, which are quoted separately
4. Payment
Nothing is payable to request or review the mockup. The $299 becomes due when you approve the mockup and ask us to begin the build. Prices are stated in USD and exclude any taxes that may apply in your jurisdiction.
5. Timeline
Most stores go live within 3 business days of mockup approval. Stores with large catalogs or custom functionality typically take 5 to 7 business days. The clock starts when we have the content we need from you, including products, images, and access. Delays in receiving that content extend the timeline by the same amount.
6. Revisions
The build includes two rounds of revisions after first delivery, covering design and configuration changes within the agreed scope. Additional rounds, or changes that expand the original scope, are quoted before any further work starts.
7. Cancellation
Before the build starts: cancel at any time at no cost. Nothing has been charged.
After the build starts: because work begins immediately on approval, cancellation after that point is refunded on a pro rata basis reflecting work already completed. If we have not yet begun, you receive a full refund.
Discounted builds: builds sold at a discount of 40% or more off the standard price are final and non-refundable. The pro rata provision above does not apply to them. This is a condition of the discounted price and is stated to you before you approve the build. Where you are a consumer with the statutory rights described in section 8, those rights are unaffected by this clause.
If we cannot deliver: if we are unable to complete the build to the agreed scope, you receive a full refund.
8. Right of withdrawal (consumers in the EU)
If you are buying as a consumer rather than for business purposes, EU law gives you 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract for services.
Because the build normally starts and finishes well inside that period, we begin only at your express request. By approving the mockup and asking us to start, you request that performance begins during the withdrawal period and you acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed. If you withdraw after work has started but before completion, you pay an amount proportionate to what has been delivered.
Most buyers of this service are acting for business purposes and are therefore traders rather than consumers, in which case the statutory withdrawal right does not apply. If you are unsure which applies to you, ask us before approving.
9. After launch
Training is included. Ongoing support is provided for questions about managing the store we built. Support does not include new development work, third-party app configuration beyond the original scope, or marketing services, all of which are quoted separately.
